Ontario New Home HST Rebate Calculator
Estimate how much a buyer could save under the proposed Ontario HST relief policy for new homes. This public calculator is a prototype based on the March 30, 2026 federal/Ontario announcement and current CRA rebate mechanics.
Policy assumptions
The calculator assumes full 13% HST relief up to $1,000,000, a $130,000 maximum rebate up to $1,500,000, a linear taper to $24,000 at $1,850,000, and a $24,000 floor above that level until final guidance says otherwise.
Implementation status
Final eligibility, buyer application process, builder-credit mechanics, and closing-document requirements may change pending royal assent and formal implementation guidance.
